Most importantly, unlike today’s two strokers, the 250i needs no fuel mixing. Fuel stored near the gas tank is mixed with gasoline, if needed, and only needs to be filled once every five to seven gas tanks, Husqvarna said.
This opens up many areas, in fact, for interested candidates. Two-wheeler long-distance riders used to carry cans of fuel and worry about getting the mixture right at the pump. Now, they just pump. A 2.4-gallon gas tank and a 30% to 40% improvement in fuel efficiency over its predecessor means this bike will go a long way before running out of water.
The stock mixture made it a little heavy for me, and the engine felt very clean at higher RPMs. (A very skilled person can tamper with the engine map and change that.) But the pipe did not emit any smoke and did not show any extra oil even after two hours of operation.
