Miller is a four-time premier class winner after prolific stints with Honda and Ducati, and is aiming to return to the top tier for his second year aboard the RC16. Vinales also had chances for a hat-trick. With nine race wins, once with Suzuki and eight with Yamaha, the #12 has won six RS-GPs and came close to winning the 2023 season when Top Gun finished just short of the 2023 Indonesia GP. three tenths behind race winner Bagnaia.
With only Miller and Vinales in contention for the honor in 2023, Alex Rins is now in the crowd after switching from LCR Honda to Yamaha. The Spaniard has topped the top flight six times, most recently in his third Grand Prix at the 2023 Circuit of the Americas in Honda’s RC213V. Proving that he can quickly adapt to new techniques, #42 will undoubtedly be a contender for a hat-trick in 2024.

Only four riders have achieved the hat-trick, the last being Loris Capirossi who won the 500cc title with Yamaha (1996) and Honda (2000) and Ducati (2003)™.
