The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) establishes rules for every type of vehicle that can run down the quarter mile. All NHRA member tracks must follow these safety guidelines. Each year, a new NHRA Rulebook is published with revisions and updates. Rulebooks are available at the track for $10, and are highly recommended for anyone interested in getting more involved or building a car.

Top Drag Racing Events Around The World – They say everything is bigger in Texas, and if you were at the Texas Motorplex on March 25-26 for the Funny Car Chaos Classic, you’d have to agree. This isn’t just another racing game, it’s the biggest funny car race in the world. The parade route is like a fiberglass forest of funny cars stretching as far as the eye can see.

57 funny cars came to Texas from all over the United States to participate in this historic event. Brad Tuttle drove the Nitro Bandit into first place with a 3.329 second blast at 264mph in the eighth mile. Famous names of the past, such as Brutus and Blue Max, also qualified for the show. The 32 fastest cars were divided into four fields of 8 cars based on lap times.
