Capitalism is at work in our industry, as motocross apparel brands compete to earn your dollar by providing the right gear at the right price. Many people focus on the brand name, trying to stay with the best companies. It’s the product of good marketing campaigns, but the best motocross gear for you is the kind you don’t see on the track. The last thing you want to focus on while riding is your gear. If it’s too hard, too soft, too hot, too restrictive or just plain too annoying, then it’s not good.

(2) History. Back in the day, riders wore a pair of leather pants and a simple cotton jersey until they were tied. Leather pants were required by AMA rules, and until 1976 you could not wear nylon pants. Since then, motocross gear has evolved into bright, cool, colorful and well-fitting clothing. In the last three years, the latest fashion trends are bringing us back to the slim style of retro leather pants.

(3) Optimization. Pro riders get extra special treatment from their gear companies. They are high-profile sellers of the product, so the gear the top men wear is often tailored to fit them, like a tuxedo. It is not uncommon for apparel sponsors to shorten the sleeves of their production jerseys to match the arm length of their star rider or to create custom boots when a rider complains about the fit, weight or look of their boots. does You might think it’s silly, but the input of star riders carries a lot of weight in terms of how the production gear will fit down the line.

Answer Racing Mx 2020 Featuring New Motorcycle Offroad Gear Collection

Back in 2009 AXO invented the first athletic fit gear with its Team Issue Compression Gear. It didn’t catch on. Then, in 2013, James Stewart borrowed the AXO idea for his own gear and it started a trend in tight fitting motocross gear.

(4) Athletes. AXO invented athletic fit gear, but consumers resisted the idea until James Stewart brought tight fitting gear back into style in 2013 when he wore his Seven MX gear at Anaheim 1. Skin showing with low jersey sleeves. Since then, high-end motocross gear has become more and more form-fitting. If the skinny spring wear trend continues, some skinny wet riders who buy the gear will look like stuffed sausages. MXA used to make tight jerseys, but modern stretchy jerseys have made them comfortable.

(5) Comfortable fit. Loose-fitting gear is typically described as a “comfortable fit,” and if you’re not a buff athlete, you might appreciate the extra material it provides. The extra material also means less friction between your knee joints, your pants and the bike. And, durability is also increasing.

(6) Flexibility. A number of factors to look at in gear performance is flexibility. If the pants get stuck in your knees, don’t allow you to raise your leg high enough on the berm, when you slide your bike seat or have a zipper or belt that’s too tight, you’ll do not Do your best. To avoid buying gear that is too restrictive, make every effort to try out new gear before buying. You can do this by asking friends at your local dealer or at the track if you can try their new gear before you buy.
