Hill Climb Racing: How To Earn More Rewards – The Finnish mobile game studio says that the total downloads of its Hill Climb Racing games have exceeded 2 billion across various platforms.
The hugely popular IP consists of fun physics-based driving games Hill Climb Racing, its sequel Hill Climb Racing 2, and the Chinese Android version. Together, the games have accumulated over €180 million in NET revenue.

“We first launched Hill Climb Racing in 2012, which already makes us veterans in the mobile gaming industry. However, Hill Climb Racing’s charm seems to show no signs of fading, and of the 2 billion installs, more than 1.5 billion were for Hill Climb Racing alone. Last year, the original Hill Climb Racing gained over 220 million new players, and was played by an average of over 4 million users per day,” says Jaakko Kylmäoja, CEO of the company.

Launched in 2016, Hill Climb Racing 2 followed the success of its predecessor, introducing asynchronous multiplayer features, character and vehicle customization, and later grew the game with teams, leagues and recurring LiveOps events. In 2021, Hill Climb Racing 2 had grown to about 70 million new players and had an average of 1.35 million daily users.
Hill Climb Racing also has a Chinese version for Android, which was released together with MyGamez, and has accumulated more than 500 million downloads.
After surpassing 1 billion downloads in 2018, the Hill Climb Racing IP has only doubled its installs in four years. After first expanding organically, in recent years it has focused more efforts on user acquisition.
